Over time it is believed that the padding in the ball of the foot begins to wear out. This is not really what happens. Due to various shoes the padding either gets pushing forward towards the toes or out to the sides. For some people their bones actually begin to stick out towards the skin. This can be extremely painful. Hammer toes and Morton's Neuromas also cause pain in this area and are usually associated with loss of padding in the ball of the foot. This is a great routine for putting the padding back in the ball of the foot. You will also feel lighter and more supported by the ball of the foot.
